This classical Hatha Yoga class focuses on grounding and bringing stability to the body and mind, while building strength and flexibility through a slow-paced meditative practice. Open to all levels of practitioners, whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, this class can be paced with the use of props. Focus will be on breathing, alignment and holding postures.
Also available via Zoom.
Props: Please bring your yoga mat and yoga belt, or a long scarf. There is a limited amount of mats at the temple for students’ use.

About Monisha Raja: Born and raised in India, Monisha began her yoga practice at four and has been teaching for over 25 years in New York City. She is the founder of Yoga Aid, a non-profit organization committed to honouring yoga’s roots and source culture, and amplifying Indian and South Asian voices in the field of yoga and health. Monisha is a lineaged teacher through Swami Sivananda and is a certified Ayurveda (Ancient Indian science of life and longevity) Lifestyle Coach, under the tutelage of Dr. Deepak Chopra. Monisha is a fashion educator at F.I.T. and Kent State University, dedicated to furthering the principle of Ahimsa in the fashion industry.
