Yoga Asana Sangraha

Yoga Asana Sangraha

$30.00

Yoga Asana Sangraha literally means “a collection of Yoga postures.” The class is a sequence of asanas arranged in such a way to bring a quiet, grounding calm to the nervous system and relaxation to the mind by stimulating the signaling patterns of the nervous system in a deliberate way. You can expect to do traditional yoga asanas grouped together in the following order: lying down, standing four directions, surya namaskar, standing asanas, seated forward bends, inversions, backbends, twists, and meditative postures for slow breathing. The class will run about an hour and fifteen minutes. The class includes jump-through vinyasas, but not many of them, so it will be energetic, but not at the level of an Ashtanga Yoga class. Options are given for many of the asanas and transitions making it a class for all levels. I invite and encourage you to try this class during the month of August; it is based on several years of experimentation and research, and will give you an idea of what I currently practice and have been exploring beyond Ashtanga Yoga.
